Most investors are leaving money on the table without knowing it

Fund charges, platform fees, tax drag and portfolio drift cost investors thousands over time, quietly. Allocra runs the numbers so you can see exactly where you stand and what it is costing you.

Sound familiar?

These are the questions most investors end up asking. Each one is answered by a section of Allocra, with the working shown.

How do I choose the right provider for me?
There are dozens of investment platforms, each with different charges, fund ranges and service levels, and the cheapest one depends on what you hold and how much. Allocra compares providers side by side on the things that matter to your situation, before you commit.
How it compares →
Which ETFs actually match my goals?
With over 6,000 ETFs listed, most people compare a handful and hope for the best. Allocra lets you sketch a portfolio sized to your capital, goal and risk from a verified universe, then shows you how it compares with what you hold, with the working behind every figure. The choice stays yours.
How it compares →
What do I owe HMRC on the funds I sold?
Outside an ISA or pension, every sale has to be matched to its purchases under HMRC's rules (same day, thirty days, then the section 104 pool) before you know the gain. The Ledger does that arithmetic from your transaction export, shows the working for every disposal, and tells you whether a return is needed.
What to declare →
What income should I expect from what I hold?
If you hold distributing funds across several accounts, knowing what is coming in and when is a chore. Income is a property of what you hold, so Allocra lays out the distributions from the funds in your portfolio as a calendar, with every figure dated and sourced.
What you hold →
Has my portfolio drifted off target?
Markets move daily and your allocation drifts with them. What started as 60/40 might now be 72/28, more risk than you planned. Allocra compares today's weights against the target you set and shows you the gap. What to do about it is your call.
How it compares →
Am I paying too much in hidden fees?
Fund charges, platform fees, spreads, currency and withholding drag compound silently over decades. Allocra adds them up the way they are actually charged, caps included, and shows the total over your horizon, every input dated and sourced.
What it costs →

One portfolio. Four questions.

One record of what you hold, and the four questions every investor meets in the order they meet them. Every figure dated and sourced. Allocra shows the working and leaves the decision with you.

1

What you hold

One record. Everything else reads from it.

Each fund by its ISIN, the account it sits in, and from your transactions the units and cost behind it. Entered by hand or imported from your platform's export. Matched to a verified universe refreshed weekly, with HMRC reporting status checked and dated.

2

What it costs

Added up the way it is actually charged.

Ongoing charges, platform fees with their caps applied correctly, spreads, currency and withholding drag, compounded over your horizon. And what is inside the funds: how much of your portfolio is the same few companies counted several times.

3

How it compares

Against something you chose. The gap and the working.

One provider against another. The sterling and dollar lines of the same fund. A portfolio you sketched against the one you hold. Today's weights against your target. Allocra shows the difference; it does not say which way to close it.

4

What to declare

The Ledger. The records HMRC expects, the working shown.

Each sale matched to its purchases under the rules in the order the law applies them: same day, thirty days, section 104 pool. Gains and losses by tax year against the annual exempt amount, and whether a return is needed. ISA and pension trades kept, never computed.

The Long View

Every Friday morning. Free.

A short essay on one thing that costs investors money and is rarely explained. Every figure dated and sourced, no products named. It is also where Allocra says what has changed and what is next.

Analysis, not advice.
Data, not opinion.

Most financial analysis is published by companies that also sell financial products. That creates a conflict of interest you may never see. Allocra is different.

We don't sell financial products

No funds to push, no commissions to earn, no sponsored results. Our only incentive is giving you better data.

Every figure is dated and sourced

You can see the working behind every number. Nothing is a black box. If the numbers don't support it, we won't show it.

You stay in control

Allocra doesn't execute trades, manage your money or tell you what to do. It gives you the information and the working, and the decision stays yours.

UK investors today. The door to the US left open.

Allocra serves UK investors today: HMRC's rules, ISAs and SIPPs, the section 104 pool. US listed funds are in the universe because UK investors hold them. A US edition is intended and will be built on US law (cost basis by lot, the wash sale rule, PFIC) when the UK platform is complete; The Long View will say when.
