Built for investors who'd rather think than be sold to.
Allocra is independent analysis for independent investors. No sales pitch, no affiliate revenue, no black-box recommendations: structured analysis you can actually read, with the working shown.
Why Allocra exists
There is too much unqualified opinion online, and too many people pushing products with a hidden agenda. Truly independent financial advice comes with a heavy bill, one that in many cases can be matched or exceeded by thorough, disciplined data analysis that an investor can do themselves.
Allocra was built to close that gap. The goal is a fast, dynamic, unbiased means of structuring analysis based on an investor's own objectives, so they can make informed decisions, or go to an adviser better prepared.
Allocra is not a financial adviser. Nothing on this site or within your Allocra account constitutes investment, tax, or financial advice. Allocra is educational and analytical. See our Disclaimer for more.
About the founder
Allocra was founded by Sebastian Kacary.
A qualified Engineer with an MBA, Sebastian spent most of his career in back-office finance, managing the delivery of risk and trading platforms. He led a multi-national market data development team, and has extensive expertise in Cloud and AI Engineering. Alongside his professional work, he has been heavily involved in retail investing and trading for many years. He built Allocra originally for his own use, to structure his investment planning and decisions with more rigour than the signal-to-noise ratio of the internet could provide on its own.
It is now available to others who share that same instinct: that better outcomes come from better data, clearer assumptions, and fewer incentive conflicts.
What Allocra does
Allocra is one platform organised around the four questions every investor meets, in the order they meet them. Each is a section of the platform, and all four read from one record of what you hold:
- What you hold: one record of your funds by ISIN and account, imported from your platform or entered by hand, with HMRC reporting status checked and dated.
- What it costs: ongoing charges, platform fees with their caps, spreads, currency and withholding drag, compounded over your horizon, and the overlap inside the funds you hold.
- How it compares: one provider against another, one line of a fund against the other, a sketched portfolio against the one you hold, today's weights against your target. The gap and the working; the decision is yours.
- What to declare: The Ledger. Each sale matched to its purchases under HMRC's rules, gains and losses by tax year, the working shown.
Above these sits The Long View, a short essay every Friday. The arithmetic runs in your browser and you choose where your record is stored. Allocra does not sell, broker, or recommend any investment product. The detail is on the How it works page.
How Allocra is funded
Allocra is self-funded and independent. There are no affiliate links, no referral arrangements with brokers or fund houses, and no paid product placements. It is paid for by one subscription, Founders, which is full access to Allocra and everything that ships, so the economics stay aligned with the people using it, and no-one else.
