For advisers and accountants

One client. One page. Every figure dated.

The Consumer Duty's price and value outcome asks a firm to show that a client's platform and fund costs have been considered. Allocra produces that page from the client's own holdings file: what the funds take in a year at their published charges, what each verified platform would take to hold the same record at its own size with its caps applied, and the two together, each figure with the date it was true and the document it came from. It is an input to your own assessment. It is not advice and it does not recommend a fund or a platform.

Your client's records. Our arithmetic. You assess.

What you get

The comparison page

Four sections, printed to PDF or exported as a file. The record as held: each fund, its ISIN, the account it sits in, units, value at the latest close and the issuer's published ongoing charge, with the pounds it takes in a year. What each platform would take: account charge at this record's size with the cap that applies, dealing at the number of trades you assume, the currency charge shown as a rate, and the date the tariff was last checked. Funds and platform together, ordered by the all-in figure. Sources and assumptions, in full.

A sample client

The page for an invented record, two funds in a general investment account, is here as a PDF: Allocra_Comparison_sample_client.pdf (three pages, 154 KB). Hold it against one of your own.

Platforms shown today: AJ Bell, Hargreaves Lansdown, Interactive Investor, InvestEngine, Trading 212, Vanguard UK. Platforms whose published tariff Allocra has not yet verified are named and left out, never estimated.

How it is made

From the client's own file

Allocra reads a holdings or transaction export from a platform or a back-office system. Interactive investor's file is read as it comes; any other file, including a back-office export or a spreadsheet, is read once you say which column is which, and the mapping is kept for next time. Prices are the latest close on Allocra's wire; charges are the issuers' published figures; tariffs are each platform's own charges page, read and dated. An Intelliflo integration has been submitted to Intelliflo for review.

Behind the page sits The Ledger: the same record, run through the capital gains rules in the order the law applies them, with the reporting status of each fund against HMRC's list and the excess reportable income from the issuers' own reports. For a client holding funds outside an ISA or pension, the comparison and the year-end figures come from one import.

Where the client's record goes

Nowhere. The arithmetic runs in the browser on your machine. The holdings file is read there, the page is built there, and the PDF is printed there. Only ISINs are checked against Allocra's data, and an ISIN identifies a fund, not a person. The page carries a client reference if you type one; it is printed, not stored. You choose the storage level once: nothing kept, kept in this browser, or kept in your account; every copy can be deleted in one action under Your data. The full statement is in the privacy policy, section 3.4.

What Allocra does not ask for: a client's name, address, date of birth, National Insurance number, or any field a firm's data policy would need to approve. The import works from ISIN, date, units and amount.

What it is not

Not advice, and not a recommendation: an ordering by cost is not a verdict, and the page says so. Not a suitability assessment; your file holds that. Not a replacement for the platforms' own illustrations, which remain the contractual figures. Allocra Ltd is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority; it supplies arithmetic on published figures, with the sources shown, for a regulated firm to use in its own work.

Twenty minutes

Allocra is built for independent investors and is new to adviser work. The one thing it needs now is to be shown to a firm and told what the page is missing for real clients. The ask is twenty minutes, in whichever form suits you: a call on a screen share with the sample page or one of your own anonymised files, or five questions answered in writing, by email, in your own time. No sign-up, no trial to manage, no follow-up unless you want one. If the page earns it, a seat for this return season at no charge follows; a practice tier with firm-level features is planned for January.

Stated 22 October 2026. Allocra is educational and analytical. Nothing on this page is investment, tax or financial advice. See the disclaimer.
